When visiting the forums home page, the website abruptly switches to showing me the account details for a different user ('Nella') instead of myself ('Sanjikuu').

This doesn't appear to affect anything - the account information switched back once I changed the page - but while I am on that forum landing page, I'm shown their sidebar layout, avatar, and currency information. This happens every time I visit that specific page. I haven't noticed it elsewhere.

For reference, I'm viewing the website on mobile via Chrome.

I encountered this too. I sent a ticket a few hours ago. It was showing a different account in desktop (chrome) and in mobile (safari)

Coming on here to say this is still happening to me over on the Kumos forums home! It has me down as and I can see their widget contents (HA, events, and notepad) and an expired quest.

Toggling off of the dashboard into Events and back to Dashboard replaces the widget contents with my data. I'm currently using Firefox on my desktop.

I just encountered this issue today. I go to the main forum page on Kumos and it's showing that I'm a totally different user. Then I try to go to the advertising forum section there and get a 408 error. I'm using Windows 10/Chrome. Everytime I try to give Kumos a chance, there are always errors. :(

I am actually on the kumos forums apparently... But my dashboard has all my information on that page anyway. I don't think this was going on the other day for me though, unless Nebet had made changes to their site theme. What made it clear for me was that we apparently use different themes so suddenly everything was green.

I'm in Windows 11 and Chrome.

@/Gossamer I hope it got fixed, and you are you again! It's so weird and a bit concerning how it can show someone else's account instead of your own. Right now, things seem to be normal for me on Kumos. fingers crossed

edit: after I wrote this post, I went on Kumos and saw someone else's account displayed again. 😒

I just noticed this and it keeps happening to me on Kumos every time I go to the forum page! I haven't spent a lot of time on the Kumos forums until the dance group feature prompted me to venture into them, so this is the first I've seen of it but oh my gosh is this creepy. I don't want to see this snapshot into other users' accounts. I don't want them to see into mine. Not like my Notepad is top secret or something but you know, yikes

Same here - it's shown me two different other users' account details on that page so far today (windows 11, fully up-to-date chrome browser)

Very happy to hear it isn't just me. Just to clarify this is only on the Kumos forum landing page for me. It wigged me out, but I feel better now knowing its not actually giving me any power over their account. I am on Windows 10, Chrome.

2:20pm (Subeta time) currently it's showing me my own details, so maybe it's fixed (or maybe I'm just the current random person it's chosing to display?!)

I went to check for you and I get.. your landing page!! HAHAHA Maybe it is picking you at random for a bit! Subeta has amazing humor even in its code quirks I swear.

EDIT: upon further inspection I think its showing your theme and your name and your widgets but its showing my currency amounts. Im not sure if that's the same as earlier this morning.

it’s always seemed to fix itself when you switch between the Dashboard and Events tabs. I am seeing the other user’s events tab by default now, instead of their currencies (I have been shown 3 incorrect accounts today , , and now ). The last two have only shown me their events. Possibly staff have changed something, possibly it’s based on what tab the user you’re shown has in focus.

I see what you mean! I def see the others events :o fascinating... It has to do with what Keith did on 6/22 cause he made a post that he "fixed" the forum landing page being someone else's. But honestly so many of us had never even used the Kumos forum I didn't even know it was a problem, but its def still there after hes fiddled with it. I do not envy Keith @ _ @ lol

It's still happening and I agree with this above quote. It is creepy as anyone can view possibly private information and could be a security concern considering it shows users SP and CSC. Imo he needs to work on this more..

just chiming in that i can see ALL of a user's sidebar, including personal email addresses they have listed in their notepad.

Just a little psa to everybody to PLEASE please please take all confidential or sensitive info out of your notepad, asap. ;_; i’ve been actively avoiding the forums homepage on kumos because i don’t want to see anything i shouldn’t be seeing. It scares me that somebody may have the possibility of having something important compromised because of this glitch.
